Love and tolerance is our code, AA's code and in my humble opinion should be the code of the whole entire world. I love you all, please be nice to each other. But in reading about doggielover's serenity and questioning another person's serenity, it blows my mind that you could make the comments you made such as "get off your broom", which seems that you are calling this individual a witch. Is this what you call being serene???? Maybe you're the one who needs to look in the mirror to see where the anger is coming from. After reading all these posts I can say I'm not trying to add to the negativity, it seems to be taking care of itself. And for Annette to say she's not going to get into a "pissin contest" - I just never thought I would ever read such hateful remarks on Emily's blog. And these are Emily's close friends? I know this was out of Emily's control.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323922462382664346.post-78043316420024988032011-05-24T06:27:49.025-07:002011-05-24T06:27:49.025-07:00Anonymous 10:30 5/23

I adm...Annette, I adore and love your guest posts. I admire your honesty in your stuggles with sobriety. We all have them even after 16 years!! I don't want to be negative at all, but to also be truthful, one thing that bothers me about "today's" AA is the absense of accountability of "slips". I was raised near Akron Ohio, the heart of AA and learned many, many things old school. If one choices to drink after becoming sober, her/his new sobriety date is set at the latest time of becoming sober.

Maybe things are differernt in your area, and if it works for you, then work it girl...the most important thing is that you stay sober today. Happy, Joyious and Free...

CinodaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323922462382664346.post-8489164940141018092011-05-24T05:12:51.493-07:002011-05-24T05:12:51.493-07:00Ok, I am done with all the negative stuff, I am do...Ok, I am done with all the negative stuff, I am done with counting others sobriety time. What I care about now is that this post is a wonderful post about dealing with something that would be a trigger to some of us. Dealing with things like Emily said that would make her upset and depressed and send her into a tail spin. this post shows that when we truly look at something in our lives we have to give it to our HP if it makes us nervous. Because as soon as you give away the power over something it becomes managable.

This negative BS is going to turn a person suffering from the disease of alcoholism off. I am now off the merry go round of negativity. I want this site to be a safe place, like it was when I was looking to get sober. It was a place people could come to ask questions and seek help. I am very defensive of Annette & Emily because they were the 2 most important people in my early sobriety, they took my hand and helped me through all the misery that alcohol had given me. I am owning my part in it, I have attacked, I am done. In sobriety I am a person who thinks then reacts, I weight both sides, I try to choose the best solution for me, because conflict will lead me to a drink. Like in this post from Emily, I am giving my negativity to my HP.

I love you Annette and I am sorry you are being attacked, you are such a wonderful example to all, at any length of sobriety. Just because someone has sobriety, they may not have serenity, YOU have serenity, and I think I do too. I am keeping my serenity, just remember and negative comment could scare away a person looking for some help. I forgot that!!!

I truly mean this, I want love & light for everyone!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323922462382664346.post-26962222404490278502011-05-24T04:30:01.884-07:002011-05-24T04:30:01.884-07:00I am not the anonymous who doesn't like Annett...I am not the anonymous who doesn't like Annette. What I said was totally the truth and apparently the truth doesn't sit well with Annette and her friend doggielover. I notice you friends stick together and really don't like other's opinions. You were asking the other anonymous about her length of sobriety (assuming her) but I can tell you both that I have been sober for 3 years, 5 months, 10 days. So I have more sobriety than either of you, not that that makes me any more knowledgeable on the subject, but feel I'm just more honest. Your nasty comments were much worse than mine. Does this please you when you look in the mirror? I didn't have any trouble looking in the mirror as I knew I had spoken the truth.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323922462382664346.post-23401209834132849072011-05-23T19:52:48.209-07:002011-05-23T19:52:48.209-07:00Hey Nasty Anon, get off your broom and get a life....Hey Nasty Anon, get off your broom and get a life. You have made it clear that you don't like me and you don't like my posts/comments.....then don't read them - it's as simple as that. My sobriety is my sobriety - I'm comfortable with what I have accomplished and that's all that matters to me.

Like Anon above, how much sobriety do you have? It is unreasonable for you to think you have been truly sober any longer than 5 months, 1 day. I am shocked that you could even think this way. That's how the program that you so believe in works. And as you have said it works if you work it, and definitely you were not working the program when you drank those 3 days.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2323922462382664346.post-13244681585589236822011-05-23T18:57:21.314-07:002011-05-23T18:57:21.314-07:00Unhappy Anon above - If you don't mind me aski...Unhappy Anon above - If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been sober? Although I "currently have 5 months and 1 day of "continuous sobriety" i.e., sobriety that my program officially "recognizes", I in fact have been sober for the past 1 year and 5 months minus 3 one day relapses.....In my heart, that's how long I truly have been sober and just because my program won't "recognize" that, all that matters is what I think about my sobriety....and I think I'm doin pretty damn good. At least I am happy, living life to the fullest and not looking for that high anymore. Hope everyone gets there eventually....including you Anon 10:30 :)

Off to mow before the storms hit again. I don't think that your guest posting...Annette,
I don't think that your guest posting for Emily is a smart idea.
When I saw that you were not even five months without alcohol I understood you better.
You are taking over on a site that she has created for years.
To be honest: I don't like you. I like Emily and also like to read and to respond what is going on in her life without alcohol.

In my oponion you are taking over her blog.

Love & light & lots of healing energy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
