  1. It's so much easier to describe a successful journey once we've accomplished it. Sometimes I think us personal-network friends/family get so caught up in our ability to espouse profound advice, that we forget that our listener has no clue what a successful journey feels like, and isn't comfortable doing the change that our advice requires. Consider that perhaps our listener may simply be nodding her head based on our enthusiasm for what we are saying. I try to remind myself during these conversations that I'm likely not so wise, that the listener already knows most of the profound advice offered to her. And, she is already confident in her viewpoint & decisions, it's just that life keeps getting in the way of success. It's a big hurdle to get over and past that way of thinking. Know what I mean? Best wishes.
