Courage

"Courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is a quiet voice at the end of the day, saying... "I will try again tomorrow."

  1. I LOVE that saying Emily, it has such meaning.......THANKS for posting that, it is now handwritten on parchment paper, and displayed on our fridge.
I hope that the kids get it too.
    Thanks again.

  3. To keep on going-to never give up-to have faith-courage is putting one step in front of the other and staying true to who you are no matter what! I love this quote today! It really hits home! Thanks XO

  6. That quote just made me feel at ease, thanks for posting it.

I had a crappy day, sad to say I screwed up a bit... Things didn't go as planned, so I started to feel bad for myself... It's already past midnight here, so the new day's technically begun. I'd better go to bed now to prevent myself from messing up this early. I really need a good sleep and a fresh start. Now I'm looking forward to the next morning, will try to do better from the moment I open my eyes.

To all of you good people who make this site such a great place, I wish you a peaceful day and stay positive! :)

Btw, thanks for replying to my email, Emily! Took me a while to get it all figured out in my head and accept the fact that what you said, however nicely you put it ;), might actually be true. So, now I'm tankful for your honest answer and glad I talked to you. Won't sign my name yet, this is my first time commenting (about serious stuff at least), so I'm a bit shy. ;)

With your quote in my mind, signing out...

  7. Just found your website. Am hopeful for the first time. Keep waiting for my family to notice that I have a problem but no one does, and I dont have the strength to tell THEM

  8. I found your site in a magazine and have read it daily for a couple of months. You are a leader for all of us alchoholics. You're understanding and honest, even with your own struggles. Thank you....20 days sober and counting!!!!

  9. One of the gifts I have received is to start my day over at any time. We are so often our own worst critics.
