Great Day

I had a great day today. I got a ton done which always feels good, then sat in gratitude for the rest of the day. I am so grateful for having such awesome friends. Thank you Sasha and Bickle for making my rad day even radder, you guys ROCK! Then Gavin and I took a road trip (so I am blogging from Surprise). We loaded up on gas and food, then chatted the whole way there. It is so nice to be sober and able to focus on him and all of the amazing and brilliant questions and things he has to say. I will go to bed to tonight counting my blessings!

  2. mommaof3 & Emily - I finally went to my 1st meeting tonite - it was amazing! I'm going back tomorrow nite. Emily - your People article & this blog are 2 things that helped me to realize I really needed to take some action and mommaof3 commented on my post earlier this week when I fell off the wagon - maybe you're right - maybe we'll now have the same sobriety B-day - been sober since 12/16 - thanks for the encouragement! Keep you updated as I progress. Annette

  4. Oh Annette- YEA!!!!!!! I am super proud of you. Made me cry thinking this morning that you decided to go to a meeting. That first decision to walk in is one of the very hardest. Followed by many more hard decisions as we learn to live life sober.

I just wrote about my very first meeting:

What about talking to your children about others in your family that do drink? How old are your kids again?
